Research Survey for Parents

We are conducting a survey by phone with parents of adolescent children prescribed with ADHD medication. This survey is a part of PillSmart research, supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) at the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

To see if you're eligible, fill out the screening form below

After you submit the form, we will contact you by email within 1 -2 days to schedule a phone call to conduct the survey.

The goal of the survey is to learn about the needs of parents whose adolescent child is prescribed ADHD medications. Information collected in the survey will be used to help improve the safety of ADHD medications while mitigating the burden of care for parents.

FAQs

1) What will I be asked? If you choose to complete the screening form, you will be asked a few questions about your teenager and their prescribed ADHD medication. If you qualify for the research study, you will be contacted by phone for a survey and asked questions about three general topics: (a) how parents currently manage their child's ADHD medication, (b) how parents go about educating the child around using the medication, and (c) how parents feel about ADHD treatment and safety concerns.

2) How long will it take? The screening questions will take less than 5 minutes. If you qualify, the phone survey will take roughly 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Shorter length surveys are available as well.

3) Will there be compensation? After completing the phone survey, you will be provided $10 or $30 in the form of an Amazon gift card, depending on the length of the phone survey you choose to receive. There will be no compensation for completing this screening interest form. This compensation is available for the first 100 respondents, and you will be notified of the availability after submitting this screening form. This page will also be updated as soon as the compensation is no longer available.

4) Is the information confidential? Your completion of the screening and any information you provide will be kept confidential to the fullest extent of the law.

Right to quit at any time: The decision whether or not to participate in this online screening process is entirely your own.
